Biography
Health and Safety Adviser experienced in managing and advising the safe planning and implementation of high risk work activities in remote regions. Expertise in noise, radiation and chemical risk management. Experienced in developing safety management systems for different organisations including systems accredited to BS OHSAS 18001. I have worked extensively in both the Antarctic and the Arctic, fulfilling the role of Station Leader at Rothera, Halley and Ny Alesund stations. Additionally I have worked as a Mechanical Engineer and a Field Assistant on different occasions in my career with BAS. I was awarded the Polar Medal in 2005.
