Polina Sevastyanova
Innovation Administrator
Biography
Polina recently joined the Innovation team at BAS as Innovation Administrator. Her background is in science, and having gained her bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of St Andrews in 2023, she hopes to learn more about current and emerging work in environmental science at BAS. In her role she will support innovation initiatives, collaborations and the organization’s transition to Net Zero from an administrative position.
Polina is passionate about contributing to solutions to the climate crisis, by influencing policy through scientific research. She is particularly interested in remote sensing, and how machine learning can be applied in climate science. Through her role she hopes to learn about new technologies used in environmental science by organising events and showcases, and supporting some of the technical teams at BAS.
