Livia Oldland
Corporate and Internal Communications Manager
Biography
Livia Oldland is the Corporate and Internal Communications Manager at BAS. She is responsible for the corporate communications of the organisation including stakeholder engagement, government and business relations, event management and promoting public engagement.
Livia leads the communications for a number of key corporate campaigns, including the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation (AIM) programme. This long-term programme will enable a world-leading capability to ensure that Britain remains at the forefront of climate, biodiversity and ocean research in the Polar Regions.
She is also responsible for internal communications and campaigns, including managerial oversight and development of the BAS intranet.
She also supports the Communications Team with media relations, including dealing with media enquiries, writing press releases, setting up interviews, arranging filming and offering media training to staff. Livia will be travelling to Antarctica from January 2020 to mid-February 2020 accompanying a media visit on the RRS James Clark Ross.
