Fenella Orr Ewing
AIMP Trainee Sustainability Advisor
Biography
I joined BAS in September 2023 as a Trainee Sustainability Advisor for the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme. In this role, I am part of the team responsible for integrating sustainability into the design and delivery of all AIMP projects and ensuring that the projects can deliver more sustainable outcomes.
Before BAS, I graduated in the summer from The University of Manchester with a geography degree where I focused my studies within paleoclimatic reconstruction, the cryosphere and conservation. My previous experience within sustainability was in sustainable agriculture working in the sustainability team for an underground hydroponic farm in Clapham during my placement year.
Outside of work, I’m into live music and festivals, particularly funk, jazz, soul and hip-hop. I’m also a keen footballer and enjoying following the WSL and attending matches.
