Rachael Rhodes
Biography
Rachael Rhodes is a University Lecturer in the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Cambridge. Her research reconstructs past climate and biochemical cycles using gas- and liquid- phase chemistry of Arctic and Antarctic ice cores. To do this, Rachael combines state-of-the-art measurements of the ancient air bubbles and chemical impurities trapped within the ice with cutting-edge numerical modelling.
Rachael collaborates closely with members of the Atmosphere Ice and Climate and the Ice Dynamics and Palaeoclimate teams at BAS. For more information about Rachael’s research, see her research profile.
