Biography
I am a PhD student at the British Antarctic Survey investigating how the flow and properties of Antarctic Bottom Water entering the Atlantic Ocean from the Weddell Sea respond to changes in wind forcing. My work focuses on moorings inside the Weddell Gyre and Orkney Passage and investigates the mechanisms that control export through the passage.
Prior to starting at BAS I worked towards a masters in physics at Imperial College London writing dissertations on large scale potential vorticity inversion and using quasi-geostrophic potential vorticity to model wind driven circulation
2020 – PhD in Physical Oceanography (University of Southampton/BAS)
2019 MSci in Physics (Imperial College London)
