Amy Ringrose
Biography
Amy Ringrose is currently working as a Science Communicator within the Communications Team at British Antarctic Survey, where she puts her recently-completed MSc in Science Communication, and BA in Global Health and Social Medicine into practise.
Having worked for a short time within the BBC Audio Science Unit, helping to create fascinating, narrative-rich audio programmes for BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service, Amy uses her storytelling abilities across multiple channels to tell the world about BAS and the extraordinary people behind the research that it oversees in the polar regions.
She is a zealous advocate for young people to receive access to scientific education and – as a lover of poetry, painting, and filmmaking – actively promotes the arts as a way for people to understand complex ideas, whether scientific or otherwise
