Polar Meltdown at Summer Science Exhibition
British Antarctic Survey is taking part in the prestigious Summer Science Exhibition 2007 held at the Royal Society in London next week. Prof David Vaughan, Dr Tim Moffat and a team of BAS scientists are contributing to a NERC exhibit called “Polar Meltdown: climate change in your lifetime”. We shall be highlighting the uncertainties with how the Antarctic ice sheet is responding to climate change, which has become one of the greatest challenges facing scientists predicting sea-level rise.
