Partnership with Dutch researchers continues
This month, British Antarctic Survey (BAS) and the Dutch Research Council NWO, on behalf of the Netherlands Polar Programme (NPP), accepted the renewal of the longstanding scientific cooperation agreement to continue research in Antarctica. The agreement arranges the access for Dutch researchers to visit and work in Antarctica.
Dutch researchers will continue to access and work at the Dutch Dirck Gerritsz laboratory at Rothera Research Station, and have access to other fieldwork locations in the region.
Over the next few weeks, NWO will open a new call for proposals aiming at excellent research in Antarctica, in collaboration with BAS. The thematic scope is theme (1) Climate change and system Earth, and (2) Ecosystem dynamics. Four million euros is available for this call.
