Kirsty Brown returns to the UK – Update
The body of marine biologist Kirsty Brown has returned to the UK. She was returned from the Falkland Islands to RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire over the weekend. The funeral will take place on Friday 5 September at 3.00pm at Church of the Holy Innocents in Southwater, Near Horsham. Friends and family from the UK and overseas are expected to attend. Kirsty’s family have set up a charity with two research aims. A short-term project into the behaviour of Leopard Seals and a longer-term geology project which is not yet decided. Donations can be sent to the family direct. Cheques payable to the ‘Kirsty Brown Fund’ should be sent to: Swains, Marlpost Road, Southwater, Horsham, Sussex, RH13 9BY or British Antarctic Survey, Cambridge.
