**POSTPONED** IET SEMINAR: ARE WE APPROACHING A CLIMATE TIPPING POINT? New date tbc
- This event has passed.
The IET Cambridge Network is hosting their April lecture at British Antarctic Survey’s Aurora Innovation Centre.
Professor Tim Lenton is Director of the Global Systems Institute, based at Exeter University. Tim and his group are focusing on understanding the early warning of climate tipping points and developing an evolutionary model of the marine ecosystem. His talk will focus on the climate tipping point and whether engineering can provide a solution to help avoid it or ameliorate the worst effects of change. Further background on Tim and his work can be found here, as well as one of his more recent papers.
This event is held at the British Antarctic Survey’s Aurora Innovation Centre, and will be open to the science community as well as the IET Network. Although this is a free event, advance booking is essential due to capacity limitations. Registration is available through the IET registration page. Doors will open for networking at 17:30, and Tim’s talk will start promptly at 18:00.
